Discovery Time

I spent a great morning learning more about Discovery Time from the developers, Gay Hay and Brenda Martin who believe in the educational value of play.  If you would like to know more about a child centred approach that develops Key Competencies check out Gay and Brenda's website at – http://www.discoverytime.co.nz

Easter Boxes

We made Easter boxes for the Easter bunny to leave us a treat in. They have been made from a template that was originally downloaded from the internet. Unfortunately the link could not be found so I have included the template in this post. Please let me know if you have the link or are the owner of the original and I will add the link and your name - it is awesome and many children have used it at our school over the years - thank you.

Easter Egg Symmetry

My class have enjoyed using this activity from TES and have learnt something about symmetry while they were doing it.
I used two lines of symmetry and hexagons to create this awesome egg.

Vingy Font

Vingy has been one of my all time favourite classroom fonts.  The following links take you to sites where 'Vingy' is a free download - have fun with it!
